Jumps and spins may not be everyones’ favorites, but they are skills that I believe everyone should know. I, for example, truly prefer my feet on the ground 100% of the time, so jumping is not my favorite; however, you never know when hopping over something may be your best/ safest/ only option. It happens! These are the essential jumps and spins that I recommend learning.

    • Not everyone likes to jump and/or spin. That’s perfectly okay.

    • These skills require different parts of your body working together. Work on your timing.

    • Your core is a very important factor in rotating. Focus on it.

    • The closer you bring your hands into your chest, the faster you will rotate.

    • Toe stops are regularly worn when jumping and spinning. They are not only a great safety net when feeling off-balance, they can help with the actual jump or spin.
