FRIENDSGIVING RECIPES

THIS IS MY FAVORITE TIME OF YEAR…FOR FOOD AND GETTING TOGETHER WITH FAMILY/FRIENDS!

I LOVE FOOD…

I ALSO LOVE MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS, BUT THAT’S NOT WHAT THIS POST IS ABOUT. HEHE!

Last year was a very trying time for all of us. The holidays seemed to be especially difficult because many of us could not spend time with our loved ones (in person). This year may be slightly back to “normal” for some of us, but maybe not for others. Whether you are able to get together with family and friends in person or virtually, food is a big part of that gathering…at least for me it is!

Going into 2020, I was pretty afraid of cooking. Honestly, I’m still slightly afraid. I can skate and teach in front of thousands of people with complete confidence; however, put me in a kitchen with a recipe and I am terrified. With that being said, I am still conquering this fear and feeling more confident each day.

I typically turn to websites like bonappetit.com to find the recipes I want to make/attempt to make for the week, but there is nothing better than a recipe that has a story behind it.

Since I am still fairly new to this cooking thing, I want to share my very first contribution to my family’s Thanksgiving feast:

Green Bean Casserole

ps. I think that I was so excited that I actually made somthing well that I failed to take a photo. So, this photo is from the website. I have since learned to document my attempts and successes.

Now it’s your turn!

Please share your favorite fall recipes and the stories behind them.

I will try my best to honor your creation and make it well…but no guarantees.
